Dark Star IV is a Science Fiction Horror game with an emphasis on the horror. Designed to fill the gap between rules light, and more traditional grid based RPGs, Dark Star IV rewards player creativity whilst still providing a robust ruleset for GMs. 

The players take on the role of Scavs aboard 'Jerusalem', one of the last vestiges of civilisation in a ruined galaxy. Some awoke aboard ancient generation ships, others fleeing from a life of servitude under Technobarbarians. 

“Sponsored” by a scav captain, they will need to pay them back quickly if they want to stick around. With little more than a shuttle and a couple of credits to equip themselves, they must venture out into the void. Gene abominations, cannibals, cults, cybernetic serial killers and other, more inscrutable horrors await them in dark-space. 

So steady your self scav, for this is a galaxy of terror. Make sure you are still kicking when ‘Salem finally reaches... Dark Star VI
